Dr. Shawn Pobiner

Dr. Pobiner grew up in Commack, NY, and graduated from Commack High School in 1991. He went on to attend Penn State University, earning his undergraduate degree in 1995. In 2000, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, followed by advanced postgraduate training in endodontics at Stony Brook University, which he completed in 2003.

Since completing his specialty training, Dr. Pobiner has been in private practice at Island Endodontics in Wantagh, NY, where he works alongside his brother, Dr. Todd Pobiner. He is proud to be part of a fourth-generation family of dentists, continuing a long-standing tradition of excellence in dental care.

Dr. Pobiner believes that gentle dentistry is an essential part of providing exceptional endodontic care. Understanding that patients often seek treatment while experiencing discomfort, he is committed to resolving dental issues while minimizing stress and ensuring a calm, reassuring experience. His approach combines clinical precision with a strong emphasis on patient comfort and trust.

Outside of the office, Dr. Pobiner enjoys fishing, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
